CREEKSIDE is a Virtual Art Gallery situated next to an idyllic meandering stream.  Hummingbirds, herons, and kingfishers pass by daily.  So do a welcomed menagerie of other wildlife, including wild deer, raccoons, owls, pileated woodpeckers, and flocks of turkeys. The seasonal changes are dramatic. Linda and Gene Kangas have studied and collected folk art and Americana for over five decades.

Gene is a Professor Emeritus of Art and a practicing contemporary artist. Both are published researchers. They have co-written important books and articles on duck decoys, fish decoys, and folk art. CREEKSIDE features antiques, folk art, and Gene's large scale metal sculptures, innovative mixed media sculptures, wood turned portraits, as well as his dramatic digital images.

CREEKSIDE offers a broad range of art objects as well as books and catalogs Book Store, from Classic American waterfowl decoys Decoys to figural wood carvings Folk Art to early hand-knotted Finnish bed rugs called ‘ryijy’ for sale. CREEKSIDE features illustrated articles in its Reading Room on a variety of topics.  Education has always been an integral aspect of CREEKSIDE’S philosophy.
